Welcome to the official website for HAAST LODGE - affordable backpacker accommodation in beautiful Haast, South Westland, New Zealand. Gateway to the West Coast and Glaciers. Located halfway between the resort towns of Queenstown/Wanaka to the south and the Glaciers to the north, in the heart of a World Heritage National Park.

We provide a wide range of accommodation for every budget. Our complex consists of self contained motels, budget backpacker style rooms and cabins with excellent shared facilities and power van and tent sites. Park up, relax and put away the keys for the day.

Haast Lodge offers a warm and friendly atmosphere with a range of facilities to make your stay a memorable one. Not only a well appointed 20 berth Motor Park, Haast Lodge also offers excellent Summer Cabins, Bunk Rooms, Double Rooms, Twin Rooms and a Family Room. Tent sites are also offered.

Haast is situated in the heart of Te Wāhipounamu World Heritage Area, famous for its dramatic landscapes. There are national parks to the north, south and east. Activities include Forest and Beach Walks, Jet Boating, Bird Watching, Hunting and Fishing and scenic Helicopter rides.
